The "Outstanding Physician" (Full-time) Professional Doctoral Program admits recent graduates with a master’s degree in clinical medicine or those who have already obtained a master’s degree in medicine and hold the standardized training certificate for clinical medical residents issued by the National Health Commission. Under the program’s innovative competence-based training model, students will undergo tertiary specialized clinical skills and practical training. Upon graduation, they are expected to reach the level of a junior attending physician. Tailored for outstanding master’s graduates passionate about applied clinical research, the program emphasizes interdisciplinary cutting-edge research courses and novel experimental techniques. It aims to produce high-level talents with innovation capabilities and an international perspective. In the meantime, a Clinical Scholar Research Capability doctoral training standard and curriculum are available to nurture students’ abilities in clinical research and clinical translational scientific research. The goal is to train outstanding physicians and future medical leaders adept at both clinical practice and clinical academic research.
