Research Interests

Dr. Yan has extensive clinical and endoscopic experience in the diagnosis and treatment of digestive system diseases, especially early gastrointestinal cancer and refractory biliary-pancreatic disorders.

She has led one research project each funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China, Beijing Natural Science Foundation, and Capital Health Research and Development of Special Fund. She holds 3 national invention patents (ranked 1st and 2nd respectively) and 5 national utility model patents, among which 2 have been successfully translated into clinical applications.

Her academic contributions have been recognized with multiple awards:

  • Second and Third Prizes of the Chinese Medical Science and Technology Award (ranked 7th and 3rd respectively)

  • Second Prize of the Ministry of Education Science and Technology Progress Award (ranked 7th)

  • Third Prize of the 3rd Capital Translational Medicine Innovation Competition (2021)

She has published more than 30 academic papers, including 8 SCI-indexed articles as first author or corresponding author in the past 5 years.

In terms of academic works, she served as Associate Translator for Advanced ERCP Tutorials for Complex and Refractory Biliary-Pancreatic Diseases, Principal Translator for Sleisenger and Fordtran's Gastrointestinal and Liver Disease, and Contributing Author to multiple textbooks and monographs such as Gastroenterology, Advanced Textbook of Gastroenterology, Nomenclature of Digestive Endoscopy, and Standardized Diagnosis and Treatment of Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease.
