Personal Profile

Chief Physician, PhD, Associate Professor, and Master's Supervisor. Currently serving as Chief Physician in the Department of Ophthalmology at the First Affiliated Hospital of Tsinghua University. Graduated from Peking Union Medical College (eight-year program) with a Doctor of Medicine degree. Previously held positions as Resident Physician and Attending Physician in the Department of Ophthalmology at Peking Union Medical College Hospital, Specialist Physician in the Department of Ophthalmology at Conde de São Januário General Hospital in Macau, and Visiting Scholar at the Ophthalmology Pharmacology Research Institute of Texas A&M University School of Medicine. Later served as Associate Chief Physician and Chief Physician in the Department of Ophthalmology at the First Affiliated Hospital of Tsinghua University. Has led and completed multiple research projects, including the Tsinghua Yuyuan Medical Science Fund, Capital Medical Development Fund, Capital Clinical Characteristic Applied Research Fund, and National Natural Science Foundation of China. Conducted extensive research in community eye disease screening and visual rehabilitation. Currently serves as a member of the Professional Committee for Visual Injury Prevention and Treatment of the Chinese Medical Doctor Association, Standing Committee Member of the Neuro-Ophthalmology Committee of the Chinese Research Hospital Association, and member of the Optometry and Neuro-Ophthalmology Subcommittees of the Beijing Medical Doctor Association Ophthalmology Branch.

Professional Introduction

Possesses extensive clinical experience in ophthalmology, specializing in the diagnosis and treatment of ocular surface diseases, cataracts, uveitis, and fundus diseases, with particular expertise in the differential diagnosis and treatment of various types of glaucoma. Proficient in ophthalmic examinations and laser treatments, with rich experience in ophthalmic microsurgery. At our hospital, has led key initiatives in the early diagnosis, medical, laser, and surgical treatment of glaucoma; phacoemulsification cataract extraction + intraocular lens implantation; retinopathy of prematurity screening; intravitreal injections, retinal detachment surgery, and vitrectomy. Actively promotes the development of community ophthalmology and blindness prevention programs. As principal investigator, has completed multiple research projects supported by the Tsinghua Yuyuan Medical Science Fund, Capital Medical Development Fund, and National Natural Science Foundation of China. Conducts research on early screening for glaucoma and diabetic retinopathy in communities and is dedicated to the rehabilitation of visually impaired individuals, collaborating with the Beijing Disabled Persons' Federation to apply modern low-vision rehabilitation techniques to improve the quality of life for patients with visual impairments.
