Education Background

Graduated from Harbin Medical University in 1982; pursued doctoral studies at Capital Medical University from 1997 to 2000; obtained qualification as a doctoral supervisor in 2006.

Work Experience

After graduation, worked in the Department of Otorhinolaryngology at the Second Affiliated Hospital of Harbin Medical University, successively served as Resident Physician, Attending Physician, Associate Chief Physician, Associate Professor, Master’s Supervisor, and Deputy Director of the Department;

Since 2000, worked in the Department of Otorhinolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery at Beijing Tongren Hospital, successively served as Associate Chief Physician, Chief Physician, Associate Professor, Professor, Deputy Director of the Laryngology Division, Director of the Laryngology Division, Chief Expert of Laryngology, and Deputy Director of the Department;

Since 2014, appointed by Beijing Tsinghua Changgung Hospital.

Research Field

Primarily engaged in the diagnosis and treatment of laryngeal, tracheal, and esophageal diseases. Made significant achievements in the epidemiology, pathophysiology, diagnosis, and surgical treatment of obstructive sleep apnea hypopnea syndrome (OSAHS).

Main research focus: obstructive sleep apnea hypopnea syndrome (OSAHS), diagnosis and treatment of laryngeal, tracheal, and esophageal diseases. Notable accomplishments in the epidemiology, pathophysiology, diagnosis, and surgical treatment of OSAHS. Specialized in the treatment of obstructive sleep apnea (snoring).

Membership

Engaged in clinical work in otorhinolaryngology for 35 years; formerly served as Director and Chief Expert of the Laryngology Division at Beijing Tongren Hospital; joined Beijing Tsinghua Changgung Hospital in 2014. Recipient of one Second Prize of the National Science and Technology Progress Award; three Beijing Municipal Science and Technology Awards; one First Prize of the Ministry of Education Science and Technology Progress Award. Contributor to drafting clinical guidelines in relevant subspecialties. Authored chapters for nationally unified five-year and eight-year medical education textbooks in otorhinolaryngology – head and neck surgery. Principal investigator of seven National Natural Science Foundation projects; led one key project under the Ministry of Science and Technology’s 12th Five-Year Plan. Published over 100 papers in domestic and international journals; serves on the editorial boards of multiple prestigious journals. Currently serves as Chair of the Sleep Medicine Committee of the Chinese Medical Doctor Association; Vice President of the Chinese Sleep Research Society; Deputy Head of the Laryngology Group of the Otolaryngology Branch of the Chinese Medical Association; Editorial Board Member of Chinese Journal of Otorhinolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery, Journal of Chinese Clinical Medicine, Journal of Clinical Audiology and Speech Diseases, Journal of Clinical Otorhinolaryngology, Chinese Journal of Otorhinolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery, and Beijing Medical Journal.
