Currently serving as Director of the Orthopedics Department at Tsinghua University Hospital of Integrated Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine (formerly Director of the First Orthopedics and Traumatology Department at Dongzhimen Hospital, Beijing University of Chinese Medicine). Present appointments include Vice Chairman of the Precision Medicine Branch of the China Association of Chinese Medicine, Standing Committee Member of the Orthopedics and Traumatology Branch of the China Association of Chinese Medicine, Standing Committee Member of the Orthopedics Professional Committee of the Beijing Association of Chinese Medicine, Standing Committee Member of the Spine Minimally Invasive Expert Committee of the China Association of Chinese Medicine, Member of the Spine Expert Committee of the Orthopedics Branch of the Chinese Association of Integrative Medicine, Clinical Review Expert for the National Medical Products Administration, and Associate Editor of the Chinese Journal of Traditional Medical Traumatology & Orthopedics.
Serves as an instructor for the Zimmer Biomet Cervical and Lumbar Surgery Lecture Team. Trained under Professor Sun Shuchun, an academic inheritor of the "Qing Gong Orthopedics School," Dr. Jia advocates the treatment philosophy of "integrating Chinese and Western medicine, balancing movement and rest, emphasizing both bones and soft tissues, combining internal and external therapies, and fostering doctor-patient collaboration." With over 30 years of clinical, teaching, and research experience in orthopedics, he has achieved notable efficacy in the diagnosis and treatment of orthopedic disorders. Proficient in manual techniques and herbal medicine for spinal, limb, and joint diseases, he is dedicated to researching the diagnosis and treatment of complex orthopedic conditions and has accumulated extensive experience in personalized orthopedic care.
In the field of spinal surgery, he performs conventional cervical spine surgeries, lumbar interbody fusion, spinal fixation, anterior and posterior decompression, artificial cervical disc replacement, minimally invasive discectomy, and percutaneous radiofrequency procedures for cervical and lumbar disc disorders. In trauma orthopedics, he conducts surgeries for limb fractures and joint fracture reduction and fixation.
