Primary research focus: Diagnosis, treatment, and interventional therapy of pediatric arrhythmias.
With 40 years in pediatric clinical practice (33 years in pediatric cardiology), pioneered China's earliest application of interventional techniques for childhood heart disease diagnosis/treatment. Since 1994, has led nationwide in pediatric radiofrequency catheter ablation (RFCA) for tachyarrhythmias, maintaining:
· Highest cumulative pediatric RFCA case volume in China
· Largest annual procedure count
· Youngest treatment age (minimum: 3 months)
Current annual performance:
· 200 procedures with >96% success rate
· <0.3% complication rate
Also initiated pacemaker therapy for pediatric bradyarrhythmias, implanting epicardial permanent pacemakers in neonates as young as 30 minutes postpartum. These achievements represent national leadership in the field.
