Chief Physician, Professor, Doctoral Supervisor

· Graduated from Hunan Medical University in December 1982 with a Bachelor's degree in Clinical Medicine.

· Obtained a Master's degree in Psychiatry from Xiangya School of Medicine, Central South University, in December 1987.

· Earned a Ph.D. in Mental Health from Xiangya School of Medicine, Central South University, in August 1998.

· Has been engaged in the clinical practice, teaching, and research of psychiatry since graduation.

Professional Expertise

With nearly 40 years of clinical experience in psychiatry, specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of complex mental disorders, including:

· Depressive disorders

· Bipolar spectrum disorders

· Obsessive-compulsive disorders (e.g., Meige syndrome with forced eyelid closure)

· Treatment-resistant depression

· Parkinson’s disease with comorbid mood disorders

· Schizoaffective disorders

· Pioneering research on near-infrared brain functional imaging (NIRS) for distinguishing unipolar and bipolar depression.

· Offers the undergraduate general course "Medical Psychology and Healthy Living" at Tsinghua University.
