Academician Jing CHENG is the chief expert of the Centre for Wearable / Implantable Medical Devices, while Ping ZHANG and Xue FENG serve as the medical and engineering directors.The Centre brings together multidisciplinary expertise from Tsinghua Changgung Hospital, the School of Aerospace Engineering, and the Department of Electronic Engineering. It focuses on the development, evaluation, and clinical translational application of smart wearable/implantable medical devices, which will be used to monitor, treat, and manage cardiovascular, respiratory, and other major chronic diseases such as diabetes. By harnessing medical platforms and clinical resources, the Center develops intelligent identification and diagnostic algorithms for diseases utilizing wearable and implantable interventional medical and health monitoring devices that it developed independently. In this way, it establishes a smart medical system that allows for full-cycle healthmonitoring and therapeutic feedback both inside and outside the hospital.
