The Institute was created in 2023 by utilizing the School of Clinical Medicine's educational and research resources across fields of clinical medicine, life science, precision equipment, etc. Focusing on the pending issues in organ transplant and bionic medicine, the Institute sorts its efforts on seven fronts, including clinical transplantation, transplantation biology, transplantation oncology, organ regeneration and repair, organ bionic engineering, tissue engineering,and ethics and legislation. The Institute strives for a thorough application of Tsinghua's top-tier expertise in clinical organ transplantation and establishing a state-of-the-art research center that is both clinically driven and supra-disciplinary.
