iLIVER is an English-language journal established in March 2022, with Jiahong DONG, an academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering and president of Beijing Tsinghua Changgung Hospital (BTCH), serving as its editor-in-chief. It is a peer-reviewed, open-access publication in hepatology, overseen by the Ministry of Education, administered by Tsinghua University, published by Tsinghua University Press, and distributed worldwide by Elsevier.iLIVERdevelopsin tandem with the Healthy China initiative and the boom of hepatologicalresearch worldwide. It concentrates on significant and original hepatobiliary research, particularly in the fields of clinical medicine, translational medicine, basic medicine, and public health. The editorial team ofiLIVERcomprises exceptional physicians, scientists, engineering scientists, and scholars from 18 countries who are currently involved in cross-sectional, preventive, basic, translational, and clinical studies. Drawing on the growing scholastic interest worldwide in hepatology, and the extensive academic resources and advantages of hepatological research in China, we will make it a prestigious academic journal and a prominent international platform for the exchange of hepatological insights
